The fact that her magic devours itself is interesting, because that implies that her magic’s regeneration speed is gigantic if it keeps up with self-devouring. If she could somehow change priority of devouring to foreign god magic, she could potentially become uncursable.
So the only god magic she might have access to is dark magic. The glyphs that is on her is used to draw raw magic from a god… so if that bandaged up demon can put Ember in a bad situation where her cantrips cannot help her; he might be able to force Ember to rely on her dark magic and the glyph. In which causing Ember to use a large amount of it in hopes to get her god scarred. I think those glyphs will probably be more of a detriment than a boon to Ember later down the road unless she is able to harness her light magic.
This also brings up if the only god magic Ember might be able to draw from is dark, and she refuses to use it willingly, and the glyphs will fade if not used regularly I feel a confrontation with the bandaged demon will be coming really soon. Either a personal confrontation or maybe the demon will attack Elane framing Ember for it to get Denrim to really go all out on Ember forcing her to rely on her dark magic and the glyphs to defend herself.
…Or the glyphs will just fade away as Ember will not be using it regularly. Which makes my latest crackpot theory moot once again.
