The leaves look really good I can imagine the pain in making them all. Now you got to draw …or reuse the leaves in the next few pages!
Looks like Bernin is sporting a new armband and gloves. So is he finally getting some formal training? Those new pieces of equipment seems to be marked similar to what Tennin soldiers have, so is he formally going to join the army as a official Tennin patrol spellcaster?
Sil looks like she is in her patrol uniform/gear. I thought Sil mentioned that they took away all their gear last time. I’m assuming there might have been a mini time skip to after everyone healed up to be discharged from the hospital, and after being cleared were reissued their gear.
I’m curious about Callum as he suffered some bad injuries and the nurse did say he might (which means he will) suffer some side effects. Though the nurse never mention what it might be. Maybe he now has to use a one handed weapon now? At least Callum looked like he is left handed based on how he has been wielding his spear before, and his right is the one that was badly injured.
I dont know if im the first one to notice this, but i mind aswell point this out, its a little easter egg that was planted in the names of Ember/Bernin’s family:
An Ember is a tiny dpark, which can start a big fire.
Ember starts off weak and lustful for magic, and i predict that she will become very powerful with her magic.
Bernin is a play on words with Burning, as Bernin is already “burning” and can use magic well. Even Bernin’s magic (fire) is a nod to that.
Cole, or Coal, is a fire starter. Flint is also a fire starter.
In this sense, the “fire” is their magic, their will and their story. Ember starts off weak and vulnurable, wanting to rid herself from her demon family. Bernin is more powerful, but uncontrolable, like a raging fire. Cole and Flint start these two’s fires, being fire starters themselves.
w0lf, if this was intentional, it was very well done 😉
Homicidal or not, those leave are beautiful.
@SamPat I’d consider coal to be more fuel/hasn’t started to burn yet/untapped potential then a fire starter.
