Bloodline 350
Vivian has lost her advantage, and is being forced into a confrontation in the middle of the town, instead of the neutral territory she was hoping for.
Lots of little extra details on this page! I want to make things a little more alive.
Hillel is quite cunning under all that naivety…
Considering the blank look on his face in the last panel, I think it’s entirely naivety
It’s TOO blank…
And at this point I would break all ties, use every trick to get out of there, and form a different plan. Worst case it’ll teach the Tennen not to just jump a probable informant. Really, this method is more brute force than tact on the tennen’s behalf, really lackluster of a so called ‘Enlightened’ culture.
Well yes, historically “enlightened” is simply shorthand for “I have the power to make and break the rules as I see fit and morally justify it afterwards”
Hillel seems a bit too excited about this. Kind of like he knew what was going to happen in the back of his mind. Hillel doesn’t seem concern that there are some with weapons drawn as well. I assume the commander is going to do some vetting to see what Vivian really wants. The commander probably is going to be careful in dealing with Vivian from the looks of it.
Vivian did plan for a back up plan right? What she is doing carries a lot of risk after all. Something tells me her love at first sight story isn’t going to fly with the commander. He is probably going to dig deeper in Vivian’s motives. Let’s see if she can sidetrack what ever inquiries he has, as she did with Sil.
Try not to get skewered, Hillel.
