It’s awfully bold of the Veeki’s to think they can launch these offensives without any consequences. Or is Kence gambling everything on gaining the power he needs to become untouchable?
Would an involuntary godscar even give Kence what he wants? If anything Bernin seems like he’s less likely to accept the power of the Voice now than he was when he first met Veera. He’s less consumed by rage and maybe starting to feel like he has something to lose.
Intersting how Veera threw a darker version of Bernin’s new spell at him.
At the beginning, Ember was like people could only use one element of magic. But as we see more magic used, we get to see that Ember’s base knowledge from home might have been incomplete and limited. Sil even has a bit of Nature magic with her Light magic.
It makes me wonder how limited Ember’s knowledge is compaired to Readers of the Tennin?
Wasn’t Light and Dark listed as special cases to the one element rule? You are born with access to one element, Light and Dark not being options, and then Light and Dark had different requirements to gain access to them. And everyone can use the “weak” neutral magic too.
Not sure. Sil seems to Stand by Light magic, Nature healing magic being a light secondary. I don’t think it was ever mentioned that anything happening to her to suggests that she was given Light magic.
As for dark magic, when listening to Sil and Elane talk about the subject, it’s amazing how you realize how little the Tennin know about the demons they fight. It almost makes it sound like the Tennin only learn about how to take out demons and little else.
One thing to keep in mind, bringing it back to my main point. This all is taking place after a great war that took out one god and toppled the kingdom of another god. One could only guess how destructive this war was to the other gods kingdoms’. But so much knowledge could have been lost. And Ember lived in a small town that was raised by demons with books that some were damaged and others might have been even out of date. It will be interesting to see, if Ember ever comes across a book that contradicts what she learned from her childhood books.
Veera speaks like Bernin wants to serve under Kence. A little bit of arrogance, but i’m most surprised that Flint isn’t doing anything about this. He lost Cole and he went to join Kence after Lupa, and I’m pretty sure one of Kence’s agent is after Ember. Perhaps Flint is in cahoots with Kence? It’s either he is planning something or involved in all this. Unless he decided to cut ties and live like a hermit which I doubt.
I know veera is a demon and by extension de enemy, but i can’t help to wonder and wish that she actually has a liking to Bernin and not only because of her father wish. Tho Bernin x Vivian for the world.
Thanks for the holiday update!
