Bloodline 163
Got some more awesome stuff from Infinitedge!
Sylvshara as a soldier from Bloodline! –Infinitedge has also been up to some mischief with his characters, involving mine…– wookie/Twokinds rule nudity?
A –new voting incentive– as well, I’ve been excited about sharing this one. Anyone remember Kia, from outside the comic?
Huh, I did not recall Callum’s torso wound. I shall go back and review the page in which Callum was injured. Perhaps it is one of the “Related Comics”…
Ah, yes, I see, the torso was obscured by magic, but the blood spurts made it clear that something unpleasant happened down there.
On another note, does anyone comprehend the workings of the “Related Comics” panel? It seems just ever so slightly completely fallen from its proverbial rocker and spilled its proverbial marbles well beyond hope of recovery. Am I missing something? Perhaps I need more java…
Now I am wondering where the curtain of icy pain ended up. The best confirmation I have of Cormac is recovering his sword and attacking Veera, apparently in a more-or-less straight line. Prior to that I last saw Cormac’s sword when he was tending to Bernin(I think that it took well over a year to notice the naming convention in Flint’s family. I am not proud of myself for that, but good job on making them seem natural!) which would be a natural time to stick his sword into the ground. So… pins-and-needles for Bernin?
I find myself wishing that Callum had jumped in front of the attack that felled Sil, and that Sil had taken up Callum’s sword and replaced Callum here.
Cons:
1: Sil is not sufficiently trained in swordfighting to face Veera, at all.
2: Sil seems to be a little uncomfortable about killing people who can talk. She has the motivation, but I suspect that she would hesitate too much. So this would be out of character.
3: Even with the sword, Sil is better off standing back and throwing magic, so all this fight choreography would be sort of silly.
Pros:
1: Flying fox.
Also, a quick tip to Callum: Now is an absolutely terrible time to not be looking at the end of your sword.
Oh, wow, I am so… Just replace every instance of “Callum” with “Cormac”…
So Callum may yet survive this… I wonder how Cole is going…
Probably hunting bunny for rituals with Flint after being persuaded that there was no way to escape alone.
Or maybe Cole built a tower in the woods and has unlocked the secret of demon bunny. So ended Sai-vay, drowned under the bunny armies.

Finally back! School blocked the site, so I couldn’t read. The story has come so far! Does Veera have ties with Flint? Is Flint more powerful than her? SIL, DON’T DIE!
Conjecture:
Veera is doing this on Flint’s behalf.
Flint is more powerful than Veera.
Flint looked pretty weak against Ember, aside from being almost invulnerable. I suspect, however, that Flint assumed that victory was completely certain, and thus didn’t really try at all. Also, Flint was probably still hoping that Ember would become demonic due to trauma, but I certainly got the feeling that killing her was Flint’s “Plan B” and Flint had accepted that as the probable outcome and was just erm, let’s say “having fun” for convenience.
So Flint looks pretty weak so far, but with all that has been said and done… Someone who can all but ignore cheap weapons, armour, and obstacles, possesses obscure and powerful equipment, apparently has very powerful fire and darkness magic… Unless shades are vulnerable to fire, it should be difficult to approach Flint and non-magical arrows(who would spend magic one a lowly arrow?) would do nothing, he can set a room on fire and leave through a wall? Keep hitting those magical weapons with fire and see how much fun it is to keep wielding them… Flint is sort of terrifying… It seems that Flint should be MUCH more dangerous than Veera, as capable as she is, I would not bet on Veera in that fight.
And Veera was specifically looking for Flint’s tennin son and all she plans to do is lightly mutilate him and kill all of his friends. I could see her taking him as a sacrifice or convert based upon his Bloodline, but just traumatising the kid? I am pretty sure that a Demonic-to-English dictionary would translate this whole scene into “Your father really wants to see you again, please go home”.
Oh, and Sil is very dead. That beam went straight through her torso and darkness has been shown to cut like a blade and remove skin on contact. At a guess, I would say that the surface of Sil’s lungs was removed. The Strike team’s physician is going to examine her and say “ew”. I mean, looking at all of the fanart, and hearing all of the hopes and dreams in the comments… everyone wants Sil to survive, but she has so many Deadmeat qualities…
You’re not fooling anyone, Callum! You’re not getting out of fighting by pretending to be dead!
