Hey now don’t be so eager to jump back into drawing fresh out the chair. I remember getting my wisdom teeth pulled … well getting to the dentist and the car ride home but that’s it!! XD
I do somewhat agree with you, but it is not as bad as it looks. She has obviously never seen a library this big(if any) before, but perhaps that is just because she comes from a remote area…
She is asking about the dark arts, but the librarian themselves states that people get curious about bad magics. Probably a great many great spellcasters have, at some point, wondered how demonic power works and how it is different from Tennin practices, or gone through an edgelord phase…
I think that the only really incriminating thing she asked was to see “Nirim’s Black Secrets” volume 2. It leaves one with the impression that she has had her fill of volume 1 and is looking for more. It is also possible that she heard that it has a really good chapter on drawing ritual patterns with inconsistent materials and needs a citation for her thesis…
Very cool to see what the sketches look like before you color them. And it looks like Ember might have to keep hunting until she finds what she needs!
After I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I felt really weird and disoriented, but I still managed to practice piano shortly after getting home. So I suppose you might be able to work on the comic directly afterward! But it’s a really weird feeling, I’ve gotta say lol. Good luck and I’m excited to see the color version.
Yes, it is sort of awkward that I can’t say “Redquill” and expect people to know to whom I refer.
Wait… Where did Ember get that pen from? IT’S EXISTENCE WAS NOT FORESHADOWED! THE WORLD IS DOOMED!!!
Speaking of ridiculous overemphasis, I can only imagine the tirade Ember’s personal aspect of The Dark Voice must be producing right now to condemn the existence of all literature forever. I can imagine it standing before The Central Voice Forum making an impassioned plea to petition for a large-scale book-burning campaign…

Good luck on your teeth!
Careful lad people don’t always remember or know what their doing under anesthesia. But it might make for a funny comic.
The librarian seems surprisingly calm at Ember’s suspicious questions.
Also, this is the first comic I’ve seen before it was coloured in.
