Uh oh. She has a name. She’s staying around…
I know Ember its still a kid but can you imagine if she take care of Kaylia and treat her like a daughter xD? Maybe im just imagine things since i like that scenario buuuuut.
Considering how the Ember and the kid are running and dodging, and this creature is getting ahead of them and popping through windows, I’m guessing a find doesn’t just hunt you down on speed alone. it will slink around and out manuaver you to wear you down mentally as well.
It certainly made a quick work of its last meal. I wonder if it has any other tricks in its talons. Hope it doesn’t have the ability to mimic the voice of those it has devoured. That would make things extra hard for Ember to save Kaylia.
Or maybe it’s just a little stupid and Ember is using that as well as her Reader powers to use the surrounding area to slow it down. I thought at first Ember stopped the kid from getting munch on becuase it cornerd them. But now it looks like Ember sensed how close behind them it was and she quickly turned around and pulled the kid away from it as it closed in from behind.

Maybe. You want to have as many object in the way as possible to slow it down. Also Ember was at the entrance/exit of the town with some other survivors. So either Ember is hoping to lose it in town as outside is a pretty open field where it can probably catch them, or She ran into town to lead it away from the others. I do wonder I doubt this thing did this all alone Ember might just run into the demons responsible for this I wonder what will happen if that does happen – would be a tragedy if Cole is part of the responsible group. If Cole is with Kence there is a possibility he might be with either Bernin location or Ember’s.
