I never did quite understand why Cole called Bernin a traitor here, perhaps it’s just me, but could you elaborate please?
I still want to rewrite this scene so it’s clearer. But, basically, the curse is messing with Cole’s point of view. The way he sees it, Bernin’s the traitor for planning to leave without him now that he’s cursed.
