Congratulations Callum! By using the healing earsphere on Sil instead of yourself you have become more popular than Scrappy Doo! And she will probably be okay after this, she is still on the character list afterall…

I, am wondering, about editing… I love every panel! but this fight has lasted a while…
Panel 1 seems important to establish Cormac.
2 3 and 4 could potentially be a single panel of both callum and sil with the earshpere being removed or held. It would lose that wonderful expression from panel 2(and Callum’s tail, how did I not notice that it was so puffy, and it is on the other side in panel 5. Since when was Callum’s tail so fwooshy?) and mess with the story of where it came from and pondering its fate. Also it would need to be tall to fit both Sil and Callum, maybe a diagonal panel? Callum is a bit to Sil’s right and higher so it might work…
5 and six could just be six, really. 5 is a great little moment but, umm, no buts really, it is nice…
Then there would be two or three more panels to show Sil’s reaction to treatment or what happens to Cormacs that get distracted.
Really, I have no skills at all in terms of editing, my own text always rambles and is never concise, and I really don’t feel that removing panels could be done without losing something. Editing takes time so there is no guarantee that compressing the story more would increase the speed of anything either, and it tends to be on the less inspiring side of things that notoriously kills the mood…

Everything that I just said is nonsense. This is the first major fight and it is great to explore it in detail. We have learned so much about practical application of magic, hunting patrols, and Bernin’s stupidity. It is time well spent on references, experience, and groundwork for the future of the story![/pointless rambling]
I really want to wrap up this fight scene. It’s been a long and eventful one, but it’s taking it’s toll. I had the same thing happen with Ember’s scene back at the end of chapter 1. Still, the story must take priority.
In the meantime, I look forward to things slowing down again XD
Your blood drawings have changed. It looks better now! Also, do you know when the next animecon will be? You participated, but at the time I was not a fan. That con did really well for promoting your webcomic!
I’m not sure yet, I want to have books printed before I try another convention. Making comics is what I do afterall, it feels weird to have a table with only prints and commissions.
I’ll probably look for a little comic con in Virginia next year, keep an eye on my Deviantart journals, or the news feed on this site ^^
I just went back over the archives to check if Callum’s tail is unusually puffed and wagging in this page. It turns out that Callum’s tail pretty much doesn’t exist prior to this point. I do not know what to make of this.

Heheh, I love long comments.
