Bloodline 241
The Bloodline books are in my hands finally, so I’ll be keeping busy signing, sketch and shipping!
As for the comic page, a new challenger approaches! Hopefully this good, and not twice as bad.

YAYYY!!! Elane came to the rescue!
I don’t think Elane wanted Ember to suffer like this, just detained at worse and prevented from leaving such as letting Ember continue her studies peacefully as long as it kept her in Tenguard. Doing this will only drive Ember away from Tenguard which is not what Elane wants.
Denrim is showing off his great smile to Elane now. He better watch out or Elane might cost him his promotion as she doesn’t look amused. I’m guessing Elane caught wind of Denrim going after Ember and went out to deal with the problem herself. Judging by Denrim’s reaction the two might have some kind of history with each other? That or Elane is just aware of Denrim’s reputation as he already seems quite infamous himself to the public.
I’m assuming Denrim already has a plan when he is inevitably confronted by Elane. Going around making a ruckus will get the attention of others. Though he is a reader what is his primary position in Tenguard? He seems to be in a relatively high rank as he mention he was promoted not to long ago, so if he isn’t an interrogator he might be a captain or sergeant at the very least. As he seems to be in charge of his own squad.
Now that I think about it – it’s kind of interesting that here we have Elane who is a healer that is known to remove curses, and now we have Denrim who seems to specialize in creating curses. The two seems to be complete opposites from their personalities to magic specializations. Denrim also seems to be familiar with Elane so what is their relationship between each other? Are they distant siblings? Former lovers? Trained together as readers? Or perhaps Elane has healed multiple Tennins (probably Quelladars) that were cursed by Denrim in the past?
Yes that is probably what is going on, or maybe Elane doesn’t want her specimen damaged before she can have her way with it, whichever comes first.
Or it could just be a ruse with Elane pretending to rescue Ember from an out-of-control guard in order to win Ember’s gratitude. It isn’t as though Denrim did anything illegal after all. I mean, Ember DOES detect as Evil and Tennin DO operate under bloodknight paladin rules. The lack of postmortem decapitation and improvised pyre is downright gentle.
It is possible this can all be a ruse. Have Denrim antagonize Ember and have Elane come a rescue her would make Ember more incline to stay around Elane for protection. Also Denrim can spread the word of her to all guards and patrols that Ember is a demon and threaten Ember that he will go after Ember again as soon as she steps outside of Tenguard which would force her to stay in Town under Elane’s protection. Either if this is a ruse or not it may still fulfill what Elane originally wanted.
Also if this isn’t a ruse and Ember and Elane does become friends then Ember would have a spellcaster to cast a spell to “cure” her of her demon blood. Though Ember will need sometime to research it which would be a good reason to use to keep Ember in Tenguard for as long as possible without making her feel like a prisoner. Also what’s Elane’s elemental affinity? Is it water? Hehe…
Hmm, I see, this is an interesting comic, I hope to see more, but in the back of her mind she’s probably thinking, “Damn it, what is with this guy and being a DICK, he already made it clear he’s a DICK, but still is being a super large PAIN IN MY ARSE!” The voice is most likely saying, “Kill him, he’s going to kill you, kill him first! KILL HIM NOW!!!” Then Elane rolls up. Who knows…
Ruh-roh Raggy!
