The question is how long can Ember hold out? Ken was pretty much right there and probably knows Ember can’t keep it off for too long. Then again if Ken tells the General that Ember is hiding her dark energy the General can attempt to confirm this statement with the other two guards that accompanied them. Whether or not they decide to risk their rank and status to side with Elane is unknown. Though the other readers did feel Ember’s presence on approach and can question them about the sudden disappearance of said presence.
It really seems that Denrim’s squad seems to be throwing each other under the bus. Ken really wants to get back at Ember which infuriated Denrim, and now Denrim is pretty much trying to destroy Ken’s credibility. I don’t think the two will be sharing drinks at the local tavern for a while. Then again is Ken just said “Yes, Sir” the same thing would’ve happen. What else could Ken have said? “No?” The General would just be really pissed that you brought in the wrong Tennin, and he seems like the type that hates having his time wasted on “pranks”.
Also the third panel with the dialogue “Take her to the dungeons.” I at first glace assumed it was the general saying that, but it looks like that dialogue is coming from Ken. Is that correct?
I suspect Denrim is simply enjoying a chance to both play to Elane and get even with Ken for putting them in this situation. I suspect he has no real interest in Ember’s guilt or innocence but he does resent them all ending up under the General’s glare due to Ken’s need for petty revenge.
Maybe a bit harsh on Ken but he has pretty much brought it on himself by causing trouble for both his Captain and the healer he has an interest in. He knows his Captain plays the game dirty and therefore should have known that a losing hand would cost him more than just a few harsh words.

Oh, whoops! General is supposed to be saying that.
The General is… stark in coloration and very intimidating, quite the combo. Well done, especially on that stare.
Thanks!
Dude! He just played my boy Ken dirty!

I’ve got to say I like this more simplistic style, are you going to keep using it?
Nope! I’ll have the fancy stuff fixed soon. I do have art like this here and there on my Deviantart though!
