So someone is stalking Bernin just like Ember. I assume for some time though. However isn’t having a bandaged up demon even if they dont give off a demon presence a bit conspicuous? Maybe it could be Veera spying on Bernin’s training as the body type appears to be female. She also sort of looks like she has a smirk seeing Bernin ending up on his butt during the training session.
So were going to be we’ll be meeting a new member for Cormac’s group I wonder if it’s going to be an experienced warrior/spellcaster or a fresh recruit? Though is a strike team going to shadow Cormac’s group or at least not be too far from them in case Veera decides to show up?
I wonder why is Cormac asking what Bernin is planning to do after Veera? Did Bernin not tell him his ultimate goal was to take out Flint? Probably left that part out so not to drag Cormac and the others deep into his personal conflict and putting them into anymore danger then they need to be in. Which is probably why his is reluctant in saying he is going to stay with the patrol after Veera.
They sound confident they can defeat Veera on her own turf despite her easily overpowering the entire patrol. Are the strike teams that good, or are they underestimating the demons?
