First! Also, if Elane supposedly “looks better” then I wonder if her face or something changed, or maybe the hood protected her. That smile has me worried though :/

Sinister quite sinister. Now I see why Denrim has a lot of interest in Elane. What I want to know is who rubbed off of who? A curse that makes you almost deathly sick is something I can see Denrim using himself, so it’s a bit worrying that Elane seems to enjoy doing such a thing. Elane’s attitude is a concerning, but it’s too early to know if she only acts menacing when dealing with Denrim or if she does have a darkside.
I think I got Elane and Denrim relationship down. They are both rivals, but Elane is probably the better of the two. Denrim is always after Elane because he wants perhaps to surpass her in hopes to get her attention but as we can see that’s not happening. The fact that Denrim’s last sentence is “Merciless as ever…” gives hint that this isn’t the first time this happened. Also with his talk of taking Elane for a date and making her blush previously might have some truth to it. I’m thinking that this rivalry with Elane has been going for so long that he might have fallen for her. In which Elane probably finds it both a nuisance, and slightly charming as she did give way a bit to Denrim’s sweet talk.
I also feel that Elane and Denrim kind of works well together. The fact that Elane needs to stay one step ahead of him in both creating and healing curses so in a way this makes her a better healer. She also seemed to have enjoyed their back and forth they just had.
I can just imagine as Denrim is leaving to get to Ken and Mence they both just get one good look at Denrim, and haze him about losing again as they escort him to a healer. Though I wonder what if Denrim can’t find a healer to remove the curse? In fact has this happen before when Denrim lost a previous duel, and was unable to find a healer to fix his problem that he had to crawl back to Elane to remove it herself? I think it’s about time Denrim takes some time and learn how to remove curses himself, and not just the ones he creates. If all Denrim does is focus on creating curses he will never match Elane since she studies both creating and removing curses. Perhaps maybe he does know about curse removal, and might surprise Elane by removing it himself. I doubt it though.
